Much to our shock and delight, we discovered that our family of 4 children was going to grow by 1 more. Now our family is complete. Our blessings are too numerous to count.

It's Super Bowl Sunday-Everyone gets to eat!!!
Happy Birthday, Dr. Suess on March 2nd
"Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try."

"Then our mother came in
And she said to us two,
Did you have any fun?
Tell me. What did you do?
And Sally and I did not know
What to say.
Should we tell her
The things that went on there that day?
Should we tell her about it?
Now, what SHOULD we do?
Well...
What would you do
If your mother asked you?

Viva Las Vegas-if we can just get there
Traveling these days takes a lot of stuff. When you add in baseball equipment and another child, our car is filled to capacity. But, we packed everything inside and on top and set off on our way to Las Vegas. Just before Nephi (when Kira started to fuss), we realized that the diaper bag was still sitting on the kitchen counter. So we stopped in Nephi to get a bottle and some formula. I made Kira her HOT bottle and we started on our way, again. Shortly outside of Nephi, we hear a loud rattle on our roof. Kevin pulled over to check it out. Apparently, the bar that secures the luggage rack came loose and could not be tightened. So Kevin and Kalin managed to pull the straps of the car topper tight and tie them to another spot on the rack. While pulling the straps, they noticed that one strap was frayed. But Kevin decided it would be road worthy. So we set off again!! Not more than a mile down the road, we hear a riiippp as the strap completely ripped in half. Sure enough, we could not find a way to attach the topper. So we squeezed three bat bags and two chairs inside our already stuffed car and traveled the other 5 hours to Las Vegas. We finally arrived at our hotel. If anyone wants a car topper, it is on the side of the road about two miles outside of Vegas!!!

16 Years
Okay--16 years and 3 days. Make that 12 days. It has taken a while to get this post finished.
16 years ago, we got married in the Manti Temple and began our eternal family. I wonder what I would think of my life now if I could have seen it then.
Lately I have felt a lot older. I decided it is because we are no longer establishing our lives. Our family is established, our home is established, our careers are established. It is a weird feeling to realize that we have transitioned to this new place in life. But it is a fun place to be. I have been listening to that country song "You're gonna miss this". I realize that while that is true, there is lot of exciting stuff coming up as well.

Stella and Stanley's Big Adventures
Hi! We are Flat Stella and Flat Stanley. When we were in 2nd grade at Canyon Elementary, a chalkboard fell on us and flatten us like a pancake. Now we can travel all over through mail or in suitcases. We are currently traveling, but we will check in from time to time. Here are some pictures of our travels to Chicago and NYC.

Grandparents are Grand
My entire life has been shaped by grandparents who have loved me. They were always involved in my life in ways I appreciate as an adult. Both sets of grandparents had a profound influence on me. I remember when we moved to Wichita, Grandma Shull made us memorize her phone number so if we had any trouble we could call her. I still know her number today. Sunday dinner at Grandma's is a memory I have that I will always cherish. I enjoy taking my kids out there now. The feeling of being connected to something much larger than your individual family gives you a security that you cannot experience anywhere. My own parents are becoming that kind of grandparents to my children. Their memories will be filled with many happy times. I am grateful to a family that loves each other and cherishes the time they spend together.

Morgan Dancing
Morgan loves to dance. Here is a Jr. Drill performance. She did well even if she missed a day going to Grandma Shull's. They performed at halftime of a sophmore basketball game.
